An exciting new project being developed by Clwydian Range Food and Drink and the Llangollen & Dee Valley Good Grub Club, Bwyd Clwyd / Open Kitchens is a month-long programme of events promoting local food and drink across North Wales, launching in October 2019.
There will be between 20-30 events spread across the month, where participants can visit local producers and hospitality businesses to sample the best of the region’s food and drink. The events will be developed to suit all tastes and with a wide range of formats whether it is a cookery masterclass, a hands-on session, or a tasting event, with lots of exciting and innovative partnerships. Whichever you choose, you will have the chance to see how food is made, to explore new tastes and more importantly, meet the person who’s making it.
We aim to introduce you to our fantastic community of local producers, and let them tell you their story. You will be amazed by their journeys, delighted by their products and come away from the event with a deeper understanding of how buying locally can really make a difference.
For our producers, it is important to have the opportunity to connect with their community and customers, and to showcase their work. They can attend local events, but what can be more charming than to invite you over? Away from the hustle and bustle of the markets, these will be fun and informative days out.
For more information, please keep an eye on our social media or visit our website.
For local producers who would like to participate, please send us an email via the contact page here.
